Refund policy

Returns

We want you to feel confident when shopping with Optimal Function. If you change your mind, you can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. This is our voluntary returns policy and is in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

To qualify for a return under our 30-day policy, products must be unused, unopened, with any protective seal intact, and in their original packaging. Please provide your order number or other proof of purchase.

To request a return, email hello@optimalfunction.co.uk. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address. Please contact us before posting an item so that it reaches the right place. This does not restrict your statutory rights.

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return postage unless we agree otherwise. We recommend using a tracked delivery service.

Damaged, Faulty Or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, or contains the wrong product, please contact hello@optimalfunction.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and, if available, photographs of the issue.

We will review the problem and arrange an appropriate remedy in line with your consumer rights, which may include a replacement or refund. Where we are responsible for the issue, we will cover reasonable return postage costs. Your statutory rights are not limited by our 30-day voluntary returns policy.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Our voluntary 30-day change-of-mind policy does not cover products that have been opened or used, products with a broken protective seal, or gift cards.

Under statutory cancellation rules, certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons may also be excluded once unsealed. These exclusions do not remove your rights if goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

Sale items have the same statutory consumer rights as full-price items.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please contact us to arrange an eligible return and place a new order.

UK 14-Day Cancellation Rights

For most online orders, UK consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving their goods without giving a reason, subject to legal exceptions. To cancel, email hello@optimalfunction.co.uk before the cancellation period ends. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

Where the statutory cancellation right applies, we will refund the price of the returned goods and, if you cancel the entire order, the cost of our standard delivery service (if paid). If you chose a more expensive delivery service, we are only required to refund the standard delivery amount. You are responsible for return postage for change-of-mind cancellations. A deduction may be made where permitted by law if goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them.

EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If we accept an order for delivery to an EU country, eligible customers generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase, subject to applicable exceptions, including certain sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Please contact hello@optimalfunction.co.uk to exercise this right. Our voluntary 30-day returns policy does not replace any applicable legal rights.

Refunds

We will let you know when we receive your return and confirm the outcome. Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.

For statutory cancellations, we will issue any refund due without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever is earlier. For returns made under our additional 30-day policy, we aim to process approved refunds within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the goods. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the refund in your account.
